OUR GOALS

AWITA’s primary goal for better food security is to ensure equitable access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food for all, with a particular focus on empowering women in trade and agriculture. The organization aims to address the underlying challenges that hinder food security, such as gender inequality, limited access to resources and markets, and lack of agricultural innovation. AWITA strives to promote sustainable farming practices, improve post-harvest management, enhance value chains, and advocate for policies that support women’s economic empowerment in the agriculture sector. By strengthening women’s participation and leadership in trade and agriculture, AWITA seeks to contribute to a more resilient and food-secure future for communities in Nigeria and beyond.
AWITA’s goal for job creation is to foster inclusive economic growth by empowering women in trade and agriculture to become key drivers of employment opportunities.
